Agtech Growth Fund (AGF)

Through the Agtech Growth Fund (AGF), the provincial government supports agricultural research and development efforts aimed at speeding up the commercialization of innovations that could significantly advance the agriculture industry.

Funding Amount

Eligible applicants can receive up to $450,000 in non-repayable grants from the AGF program with a lifetime maximum of $900,000.

Eligible Applicants

  • Project proposals must be submitted by groups of active private-sector partners involved in the project’s value chain. These partners must contribute funding, in-kind services, equity, or a letter of intent to purchase.
  • Projects must be led by organizations based in Saskatchewan.
  • Applications must explain how the proposed innovation addresses a sector-wide challenge and benefits the broader agriculture industry.
  • Projects must involve unique and innovative technological solutions.
  • Applicants must outline how the project will be commercialized and sustained over time.
  • Industry partners are required to contribute at least 50% of the project budget. Funding requested from Innovation Saskatchewan must not exceed 30% of the total budget.
