CME's Technology Investment Program (TIP)

This program supports small- to medium-sized manufacturers in Southern Ontario in adopting advanced technologies that automate production, cut emissions, and improve global competitiveness.

Funding Amount

Successful applicants may receive up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $50,000 in a contribution matching grant

Eligible Applicants

  • Must be a manufacturing business located in Southern Ontario
  • Must be incorporated for at least two continuous years and demonstrate financial health
  • Must employ between 16 and 499 full-time equivalent (FTE) workers
  • Checkmark

    Eligible Activities

    Projects must involve long-term investments in production technology or assets that:

    • Increase manufacturing capacity
    • Reduce emissions from operations

    Examples of eligible technologies include:

    • Robotics
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
    • Machine learning systems
    • Advanced network technologies
    • Internet of Things (IoT)

    Note: ERP systems and general training costs are not eligible. Project activities must not receive other government funding.
