EnAbling Change Program

The EnAbling Change Program offers funding to eligible non-profit, industry, or professional organizations to support projects that promote awareness and share educational tools and resources aimed at making Ontario more accessible. The program covers up to 75% of total project costs.

Funding Amount

  • Operates as a shared-cost program.

    Eligible Applicants

    Eligible Applicants Must:

    • Be a not-for-profit that can influence an entire industry or sector in Ontario.
    • Comply with Ontario’s accessibility laws.
    • Be incorporated in Ontario for a minimum of one year.
    • Be capable of managing provincial funding responsibly.
    • Have commercial general liability insurance of at least $2 million.

    Preference Given to Applicants Who:

    • Can deliver projects with wide reach and strong employer engagement.
    • Understand accessibility and compliance challenges under AODA.
    • Propose long-lasting, impactful projects.
    • Have prior experience developing training or educational tools for accessibility.
    • Demonstrate workplace accessibility expertise.
    • Aim to foster inclusive cultural change.

    • Eligible Activities Include:
      • Salaries for project staff or consultants.
      • Project development, administration, and coordination.
      • Promotion and marketing efforts.
      • Financial audits (if required).
      • Development of accessible websites or materials.
      • Translation of materials and resources into French
    • Examples of In-Kind Contributions:
      • Executive leadership on the project.
      • Communications support.
      • Promotional or outreach work.
      • Hosting events.
      • Printing costs.
