Upgraded | Canadian Government Funding

Invest Ontario is the province’s investment attraction agency focused on bringing in strategic private sector capital that drives economic growth. Its mandate is to secure major business investments and job creation by offering dedicated services and support to investors. The agency is targeting $3.9 billion in investments and 3,700 new jobs across key sectors by 2025–2026.

Funding Amount

The IOF plans to secure $400M in funding over four years.
There is no maximum limit on the amount of funding that can be requested.
Funding will be delivered as a combination of loans and/or conditional grants.

Advanced Manufacturing
- Advanced materials and chemicals
- Automotive and aerospace
Life Sciences
- Biopharma and vaccines
- Digital health and analytics
- Contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs)
Technology
- Computer and electronic product manufacturing
- Software and IT services
- Clean technology

Support for high-growth opportunities in advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and tech.
Use of data-driven methods to target investments with strong economic returns for Ontario.

Project Requirements

Projects should demonstrate:

Total investment value
Number of current employees
Job creation impact
IP creation potential
New partnerships formed

Note: Projects that include facility closures or business sales are not eligible.
