Ontario Human Capital Research and Innovation Fund (OHCRIF)

The Ontario Human Capital Research and Innovation Fund (OHCRIF) provides funding for research that strengthens the knowledge base around effective workforce development strategies. This program supports projects aimed at discovering innovative methods to help individuals enter, re-enter, or remain in the workforce, ultimately contributing to a more productive labour force.

Funding Amount

  • Inquiry Projects: Up to 100% of eligible expenses, capped at $100,000.
  • Impact Projects: Up to 100% of eligible expenses, capped at $250,000.

    • Postsecondary institutions
    • School boards
    • Employers
    • Industry associations
    • Unions
    • Workforce development partners
    • Indigenous organizations
    • Not-for-profit organizations
